The Canada Research Chair in Cryosphere Hydrology (Glaciolab) is based at the Department of Environmental Sciences at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Canada (www.uqtr.ca/glaciolab). The research group is led by Professor Christophe Kinnard and hosts a dozen of graduate students, interns, and postdoctoral researchers. The research program is articulated around the study of the interactions between climate, snow, glaciers, frozen soils, and hydrology. The candidate will study the global performance and transferability of degree-day type snowmelt models using global reanalysis products. The postdoctoral position is funded for one year but could be renewed for a second year depending on funding. We seek motivated individuals with strong analytical skills and who strive to develop innovative ideas in the field of snow hydrology. The research activities at Glaciolab contribute to the Centre for Watershed-Aquatic Ecosystems Interactions (RIVE, www.uqtr.ca/rive) and the Centre for Northern Studies (CEN: http://www.cen.ulaval.ca), to which the candidate will be integrated.
